Big wheels. Big heart. Second chances on board.
Stan arrived quietly. No fanfare. No ribbon-cutting. Just a big, slightly scruffy bus rolling in with the unmistakable energy of someone who’s seen a bit of life and isn’t done yet.
Which, frankly, makes him one of us.
Stan is the newest member of The Hideout Collective family — a project with wheels, potential, and a future that’s still very much being written in pencil. He’s not here to be perfect. He’s here to be useful, hopeful, and eventually beautiful in that rough-around-the-edges way we’re rather fond of.
Right now, Stan is a blank-ish canvas. A bit tired. A bit dented. Full of possibility. Over the coming months, he’ll be transformed — not just into a place to stay, but into a place where people build skills, confidence, routine, pride, and maybe even the odd decent cup of tea.
Because that’s the point.
At The Hideout Collective, we don’t just renovate spaces —
we renovate belief.
Belief in self. Belief in purpose. Belief that your past doesn’t get to be your landlord forever.
Stan will become a stay-with-a-story. A space shaped by hands that are learning again. A project powered by people who know what it’s like to need a second go — and are brave enough to take it.
There will be graft. There will be head-scratching. There will almost certainly be moments where someone says, “Well… that wasn’t in the plan.”
Good. That’s where the learning lives.
So welcome, Stan.
You’re not just a bus.
You’re a chance on wheels.
And we’re very glad you’re here.
