Who we are
The Hideout Collective B’N’B CIC (Company No. 16706071) was founded in 2025 to turn restoration into rehabilitation.
We identify character spaces — barges, cabins, lofts, buses — and bring them back to life as guest stays that sustain training and jobs for people rebuilding after addiction, homelessness or crisis.
How it works
- We acquire or partner on a unique space.
- Crews (supported by FPH) complete the refurbishment — learning joinery, electrics basics, finishes, safety and guest-ready standards.
- We launch as a Hideout stay; revenue funds wages, further training and the next build.
Our ecosystem
We’re part of The First Group family, alongside First People Housing (support and housing), with shared leadership and values that keep people at the centre.
Where we’re starting
Jonge Jan (1906 Dutch barge) — King’s Cross, London. Our pilot restoration and proof-of-concept.
Bramble — Identified as the next vessel to bring into the Collective at/near King’s Cross.
