The Hideout Collective is a social enterprise creating one-of-a-kind escapes with a purpose.

We refurbish quirky spaces – from historic barges to treehouses and other unique hideouts – and transform them into unforgettable Airbnbs.

What makes us different is who does the work: our team is made up of men who have experienced homelessness and addiction. By working with us, they gain the chance to rebuild their lives, learn new skills, and give back to the community in a constructive and meaningful way.

When guests stay in a Hideout Collective property, they’re not only enjoying a truly unique escape – they’re directly supporting second chances. Every booking helps fund training, work opportunities, and pathways to recovery.

Our first project is the refurbishment of a Dutch barge, with many more imaginative stays to come. The Hideout Collective is where recovery, community, and adventure.
