Where second chances build escapes.
Restoring old spaces. Rebuilding new lives.
The Hideout Collective CIC turns restoration into rehabilitation. We rescue unique spaces — from historic barges to cabins and other one-of-a-kind hideouts — and transform them into unforgettable stays.
What makes us different is who does the work: men rebuilding after homelessness or addiction, supported by First People Housing (FPH). Every booking helps fund training, purpose and the next restoration.
What We Do
Restore: rescue character spaces and bring them back to life. Rebuild: skills, structure and community through real work. Reinvest: income cycles back into people and projects.

Why it matters
Everyone deserves a place — and a purpose. With FPH’s wrap-around support, our crews gain paid experience, confidence and a pathway forward, while guests enjoy spaces with soul.
Meet and follow The Projects
Welcome to the bit where things actually start to happen.
Here, people rediscover their value, their skills, and the spark they thought they’d lost.
It takes time. It takes courage. And it changes lives — theirs and ours.
